The 26th of January is a proud day for every Indian. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of India came into effect. On that day, our country became a Republic.

The 26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th January 1950, the Constitution of India came into force, and our country, India, became a Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year. This year, it was celebrated with pomp and ceremony at our school. All the students assembled on the school grounds at 7:30 am. After some time, the principal and other distinguished guests arrived. The principal unfurled the national flag.

This was followed by our National Anthem, ‘Jan Gan Man’, sung by a team of students. Then a series of speeches commenced. The Principal addressed the gathering and emphasised the need for student participation in games and sports. Our class teacher also delivered an excellent speech on the ‘Importance of Computers’ and ‘English’. The entire programme for Republic Day was delightful. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.

A Devastating Fire Title: Devastating Fire in Rajwara Market Byline: By Priya Singh, Class 12 Introduction: On a windy evening at around 7:30 p.m., a devastating fire broke out in the Rajwara Market. The incident shocked the entire neighbourhood. Body: At about 7:30 P.M. on a windy evening a big cloud of smoke was seen rising from a shop in the market of Rajwara Indore has several shops and go-downs. The fire brigade was given an urgent call. Soon a desolating fire engulfed the whole area. A large number of people gathered. They started pouring buckets of water on the flames and struggled hard to put out the fire. A strong wind only worsened the situation. When the fire brigade reached almost fifty shops were in flames. The fireman did a wonderful job. The fire could be completely put out in two hours. A fireman did a brave job. He plunged into the burning building and came out with a lady on the shoulders. A life was saved. However, the loss of property was big and it couldn’t be taken into account soon. Conclusion: While there was a significant loss of property, thankfully, no lives were lost. This incident highlights the need for better fire safety measures in crowded areas.

The experience was both emotional and eye-opening. I went past them and took the stairs leading to the first floor. There I saw the surgical ward with patients lying on their beds and nurses attending to some of them. Then came the medical ward and I saw my uncle lying on a bed. He gave me a faint smile and said that he was getting better but would have to stay there for some more time. I stayed with him for about half an hour and then took my leave promising to visit again.
Conclusion: I stayed with my uncle for about half an hour and left, wishing him a speedy recovery. This visit made me appreciate the dedication of medical professionals.

Introduction:
A polio camp was organized on 15th April at Phool Bagh under the National Polio Eradication Campaign. The event saw enthusiastic participation from parents and children.

Body: The polio Camp was held under the National Polio Eradication Campaign by the primary health centre in the Phool Bagh on 15th April. Along tent was erected. There was a long queue of children with their parents. The drops of polio vaccine were given the children up to five years. The small babies were in the mother’s arms. There was an officer and a guide who was writing down the name and the address. They were making a mark with the indelible ink on the nails of the children. The nurses then dropped the two drops of vaccine into the mouths of the children. After giving the vaccine the nurses inform the parents that they shouldn’t give anything to eat or drink to their child for half an hour otherwise the vaccine given to the child won’t be of any use. Conclusion:
The camp was well-organized and successful in vaccinating a large number of children. Such initiatives play a crucial role in eradicating diseases like polio.
